Since its founding in 1978, CreativesCentrumWien (Vienna Premieres) has become an established member of the Austrian music scene. The development of alternative types of performances, containing reading and acting, has become typical for Project Urauffuehrungen, and this has increased the general public interest in new musical paths. Given this public interest, the Project endeavors to explore contrasts of style in its programs: tradition, the avantgarde from the fifties to the nineties, live-electronic and new classic. Invitations to international festivals serve to emphasize the resonance of the group's innovative musical directions.
